Colwyn Bay draw with Cefn Druids

By Tim Channon 2 on Jul 19, 08 06:35 PM

ROBBIE WILLIAMS scored a second half equaliser to give Colwyn Bay a 1-1 draw against Cefn Druids at Llanelian Road.
The Welsh Premier side started the stronger and Nicky Ward capitalised on a misunderstanding between Neil Coverley and keeper Matt Parry to give them a 17th minute lead.
Colwyn Bay gradually settled into their game and Dean Canning had a shot cleared off the line before half-time. then after dominating much of the play in the second half, they deservedly equalised when Robbie Williams scored withg a well taken goal from 20 yards out.
Substitute keeper Farai Jackson saved well at the feet of Ward to keep the sides on level terms and Rob Hopley missed a great chance to win it for the Bay in the last 10 minutes when he miskicked in front of goal from a Dave Hughes cross.
