Conwy beat Llanrwst in Cookson Cup
CONWY UNITED reached the quarter-finals of the Cookson Cup with a 3-2 win over Llanrwst United at the Morfa on Wednesday night (Nov 19).
The teams were level at 1-1 at half-time with Ricky Jones putting Conwy in front early on before Bryn Jenkins equalised nine minutes before the break.
Jamie Jones then put Conwy back in front a minute into the second half and Ricky Jones got his second of the game before Lee Allen pulled a goal back for Llanrwst with an 84th minute penalty.
Conwy are now away to Pwllheli for a place in the last four.
