Reserves hit Llandudno for six
COLWYN BAY Reserves beat Llandudno 6-0 tonight to secure a top five finish in the North Wales Premier Reserve League in their first season.
The Seagulls put in an excellent performance and were 3-0 up at half-time.
Ryan Watson (pictured) scored from a good run and cross from Sean Sheridan and then added a second as he ran clear to beat the advancing keeper.
Watson missed a good chance of his hat-trick before Joe Collier added the third with a clever chip over the keeper on 35 minutes.
The Bay continued to dominate in the second half and Josh Graham got the fourth after Adam Hodgson had a shot blocked by the keeper following a free kick, and then Graham added the fifth as the ball fell to him in the area from another free kick.
Llandudno keeper Rob Rimmington did well to save in three one-on-ones to deny Sheridan, Watson and Declan O'Connor, but he could only help a shot from O'Connor into the net for Bay's sixth on 78 minutes.
Colwyn Bay's final game is at home to title-chasing Denbigh Town on Friday (7.30pm kick off). Denbigh need to win the game to pip Caernarfon Town for the championship and will be presented with the trophy after the game if they are successful.
Colwyn Bay will hold their Reserves Player of the Season awards in the clubhouse after the game.
