Martin in Need

A windswept Monday morning brings an influx of Children In Need photographs, and a sea of smiling faces singing back at former Boyzone frontman Ronan Keating.
Friday’s concert at Eirias Park in Colwyn Bay, was a huge success, and photographer Steve Lewis was on hand to capture some of the top performances, notably a leggy turn from superstar Jamelia, Ronan himself, The Feeling, and The Pipettes.

And what about Mochdre’s singing starlet Cherry Lee Mewis, who performed a raunchy, soulful rendition of her new single, Feel? She did us proud.
The event was nearly called off last Thursday, after sweeping 40mph gusts almost destroyed the stage. We took photos of that too, but unlike our daily rivals, we can’t make use of them. It’s a frustrating business sometimes. We have photos of before the gale, after the gale, after the mess was tidied up and the concert itself. A lot can happen in a week, but this was just 24 hours!
Still, there's lot to look out for in this week's edition. As well as the concert we have dozens of pictures from schools, nurseries and businesses, with people fundraising and donning fancy dress to gather thousands of pounds for this worthwhile cause.
Maybe you're one of them?
There's plenty of hard news stories for you to get your teeth into as well, but you'll just have to go out and buy it tomorrow won't you.
