Party on!

I HOPE you all had a fantastic Christmas and are looking forward to a prosperous New Year ahead. I also hope the mince pies and cold turkey sarnies are finally coming to an end, and that you're stocked up on Alka-Seltzer ready for Monday!

So, what has the Weekly News team been up to this Christmas? We had our Christmas party last Friday and a great time was had by all (as the beer-soaked picture on page 3 of this week's edition will testify!). We want to see your Christmas and New Year party pictures too so that we can shame and embarrass all of you who drank and ate to excess over the festive period. If you e-mail your pictures to martin.williams@northwalesnews.co.uk by Tuesday, January 2 we'll try and get them in next week's edition!
Our reporters enjoyed a four-day break for Christmas before getting back behind their keyboards on Wednesday to fill the admittedly slim pages of this week's edition (out a day later, on Friday). It's traditionally a quiet news time over Christmas and New Year, but we had little trouble filling the Weekly News this year because we had so much going on from earlier in December (it's all in the planning!). I hope you can find something in there to amuse you, whether it's news of the millions of pounds of cash being injected into Llandudno and Colwyn Bay, or our picture of the bonkers people who plunge into the icy waters on Boxing Day all in the name of charidee!
Happy New Year to all of you at home - see you next year!
